We were not informed on the limits. It was not clear about booking conferences that have special rates which could be lower than those on Canyon Creek.
Lauren Sneary
about 3 years agoJuly 21, 2016
FROM CORPORATE TRAVEL: This video was designed to inform you about newly implemented limits on travel spending, which are becoming effective with this change in platforms. For conferences, you should check the special rates for events against those available on Canyon Creek. Don’t assume that the event rate is always the lowest rate. Sometimes it is; sometimes it isn’t. If the event rate is lower, ask a Canyon Creek rep to book with that registration code.

We were able to use the old card for other business expenses.

Is this card just for travel expenses?
Lauren Sneary
about 3 years agoJuly 20, 2016
FROM CORPORATE: The corporate credit card is primarily to cover business expenses that cannot be transacted through the Accounts Payable pipeline. The card can still be used for purchase other than travel, but users should think about how to make those purchases to obtain the greatest value. For instance, ordering office supplies through the Staples program earns us discounts that buying those supplies in a store would not. Use the card with consideration on what saves the company money.

I noticed in the video that domestic travel must be booked through Concur, what about international business travel?
Lauren Sneary
about 3 years agoJuly 20, 2016
While international travel can be booked through Concur, Corporate Travel recognizes that this type of travel can be more complicated, and therefore recommends that travelers book international travel directly through Canyon Creek by calling one of the Canyon Creek Mohawk Team reps (contact info can be found here: http://mymohawk.com/index.php/travel-expense/398-key-contacts).

What is the company policy on purchasing alcohol with a meal while on a business trip? Is it reimbursable as a business expense as part of the meal? It is not excluded/prohibited in the policy. Have heard lot of groups prohibit it but that does not match the written policy.
Lauren Sneary
about 3 years agoJuly 20, 2016
FROM CORP TRAVEL: The Corporate policy does not say anything about alcohol with your meal, as that is a policy that is set at the Business Unit level. Please check with your HR or leadership, as your Business Unit Policy may be more strict than or have restrictions that are additional to the Corporate Policy.

If we can book a hotel room through the hotel website at a lower cost should we do that if it saving the company money. I have compared several rates with Canyon and canyon rates are usually 10 to 20% higher than booking direct through my hotel websites that I am at a high level of membership.
Anonymous
about 3 years agoJuly 28, 2016
I completely agree with you on this one. I called them for a hotel the other day and they gave me a a rate of $190 on a hotel . When I called my rewards number I was given a price of $120 a night. It is also a real challenge to rent cars with them when you are not near a major airport. There site will indicate that there are no cars but the car rental company will actually have cars availble. In this day and age with the advancements in technology we should be able to do this ourselves if we deam it a better deal for the company.

With regard to the Staples Program. Originally when this program was launched we were provided a link to add our card & "link" it to Mohawks discounts. This enabled us to receive the corporate discounts on products when making in store purchases.
How do we update this card information from AMEX to PNC Visa?
